Governance

The NCSBA is a non-profit corporation led by Officers elected annually and governed by an Executive Committee consisting of the Officers and twelve Regional Directors.  Membership records and meeting registration is administered by the Membership Secretary.

Meeting Minutes
NCSBA Constitution
NCSBA By-Laws
Although the coordination and planning take place at the state level, the real strength and work of the NCSBA occur at the county level.  There are Local Chapters representing most of North Carolina’s 100 counties, most of which meet monthly.

The Constitution of an organization contains the fundamental principles which govern its operation. The By-Laws establish the specific rules of guidance by which the group is to function.

As our organization grows and changes, we update our Constitution and By-Laws to reflect the changes needed. Changes to the NCSBA Constitution and By-Laws are drafted by the Constitution and By-Laws Committee. Revisions are presented to the membership within 30 days of a state meeting. These changes are then voted on by the membership at the state meeting.

The current versions of the Constitution and By-Laws were last voted on and approved in March 2012.

Notice of vote to amend the Constitution and Bylaws (7/28/2021)

July 25, 2021
