Spring Workshop for Beginner Beekeepers

Cost: $50 – Includes one year membership to both the WCBA and the NCSBA

Additional Information: Interested in beekeeping, but unsure how to get started? Or, have you just started but have lots of questions? This intensive, informational workshop will help you successfully work with honeybees in North Carolina. A full day of classroom instruction is followed by an afternoon of guided, hands-on work in club-sponsored hives. Testing to become NCSBA Certified beekeepers is offered, and encouraged.

Classroom instruction will be held Saturday at the Raleigh Police Club at 3500 Leonard Rd. in Knightdale, with the hands-on portion following on Sunday afternoon at the club hives in Oak View County Park in Raleigh. Participation is limited to 60, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Register by March 15, 2014.
