Beekeeper Short Course

Begins: March 15, 2014
When: March 15 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and
March 29 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Where: Onslow County Multipurpose Complex
4024 Richlands Hwy., Jacksonville, NC 28540
Cost: $30.00 per person or $40.00 per couple. Includes the course textbook, “First Lessons in Beekeeping“.
Sponsor: Onslow County Beekeepers Association
Additional Information: The Onslow County Beekeepers Association will teach students the basics of how to get started as a beekeeper. Students will learn about equipment, bee biology, seasonal management for optimum honey production, how to recognize and manage bee pests and more.

Students wishing to become Certified Beekeepers by the NC Beekeepers Association will have the option of taking a written exam and practical test on March 29th from 8:00 am to noon at the same location.
