WNC Spring Bee School

Additional Information: This annual School is offered by the Center for Honeybee Research, a non-profit organization, promoting better beekeeping, in partnership with the Blue Ridge Parkway, Bee City USA, and members of the local beekeeping chapters of the NC State Beekeepers Association. Proceeds support the ongoing work of the Center.

The School has grown to become the area’s largest, with attendees traveling from six states and twelve counties in 2014. The two day, twelve hour curriculum will introduce novices to the fascinating realm of the super-organism known as a honey bee colony and prepare them with the basic knowledge required for a first full year of apicultural adventure.
